- Notes for Julia Parkhurst Robinson; compiled by Pamela Hutchison Garrett, 2013; for Family Stories at pamgarrett.com.
Julia Parkhurst Robinson, daughter of Sarah Nugent Edmonston and Preston McGrady Robinson, was born 17 Jan 1855. She married James Paul Ward on 12 July 1876. He was born in Louisiana on 8 June 1852. According to Mamie Edmonston's 1948 letter: "Julia Parkhurst Robinson and her husband James P. Ward lived in the latter part of their lives at the old homestead at Irondale. Mr. Ward was a railroad contractor. They had two sons, Edward and Ivan. Ivan, a very handsome young man, was murdered by a drunken miner while they were visiting once at my aunts. Julia was another gentlewoman."
Julia died 31 July 1935 in Irondale. Her husband James also died in Irondale in the 1930's. Both are buried in St. Matthew Cemetery, St. Louis.
