  • Notes
    • I continue with questions about the two youngest Garrett children that appear in the 1850 census of Benton county Tennessee - James Garrett and Adaline Garrett. Are they the same as James Anderson and Mill Anderson who appear in the 1860 census of St Clair county Illinois. What happened to "James Anderson Garrett"? -Pam Garrett, August 2016.

I have come across a Civil War record for James Garrett, that confirms his death 4 January 1863 at about age twenty, and places him in the same company as his likely "brother-in-law" Joseph G Miles. - Pam Garrett, May 2017.
