      James Logan married Lucy VanLear; they came to Missouri (Washington, Iron county) in 1821; he died 25 December 1832. Lucy Van Lear Logan born 30 December 1784, died 25 January 1859 in Iron county Missouri. Fourteen children.
      1. Hannah Logan; born on the 19th of May, 1808, married Mr. Bonney
      2. John Logan; born on the 17th of October, 1809 in Salem Virginia; married Elizabeth H Mallow; he died on the 22nd of February, 1875
      3. Sarah L Logan; born November 29, 1811
      4. Margaret Ann Logan; born April 9, 1813
      5. Eliza Jane Logan; born February 1, 1815, and who died at Ironton
      6. Lucy Logan; born September 13, 1816, and died at Potosi, Missouri

      8. Lila Logan; born November 1, 1819, and died at Potosi, Missouri

      John Van Lear, father of Jane K, wrote his will on 21 July 1820. It was proved Oct 1829. He gives his wife Sally 1/3 of his plantation and some slaves. He gives his son William the remaining land, etc. He gives son John, Scott's Bible in 5 volumes. He makes a bequest to a daughter Sally Liking. He gives his Gig and Cornixe to his daughter Lucy Logan. He appoints James C Preston and Henry Edmonson Executors.
