1927: Vick Leaves Entire Estate To His Son

Hardware Dealer's Will Is Filed for Probate

Entire estate of William Henry Vick, vice-president of the Oklahoma City Hardware company, who died June 9, is left to his son, WH Vick Jr, 16 years old, according to terms of a will filed for probate in county court Wednesday.

The estate, estimated in excess of $50,000, is to be administered by SE Clarkson, uncle of the youth, and president of the Oklahoma City Hardware company, and the Security National bank. The property is to be held in trust until the son is 25 years old, the income to be used to provide his education.

"I hope he remains in school until he has obtained a college education." the will says. In the event the boy fails to live until he is 25 years old, the estate is to go to RE Vick, a brother, who lives in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
