Matt, sometimes called Mike, never married, but was a "lovable old fellow". He moved to Oklahoma city where he worked with oil property. He may have lived for a time in New Mexico. I've seen a photo postcard that my Mother had, photo of two men in a buggy beside a small house. Mother had written by one man "Uncle Mike Soper and his home in New Mexico". The postcard was dated 1908 and stamped at Stanley, New Mexico.

Matt M Soper, who dealt in oil property until three years ago when he retired, was born in Czechoslovakia and came to the United States with his father in 1893. He lived in Chicago, then moved to Oklahoma when his father homesteaded near Garber during the opening of the Cherokee Strip. He moved to Oklahoma City while still a young man.
