Land for Sale: Reuben Fry

Land for Sale: The tract whereon I live, on the Robinson river, in Madison county, containing 250 acres, the whole of which is of superior quality. The Plantation, which contains about 140 acres (one half of which is low ground) is excellent for the production of Tobacco or any kind of grain – a great quantity of meadow ground, a sufficiency of which (to support the plantation) is already improved, and produces abundantly – On this land is an excellent Mill-Seat, which, if improved, would be advantageous to the owner, as it is in the heart of a farming country – The buildings consist of a dwelling house, with three rooms on the first floor and two above, with convenient closets, and two brick chimnies, a well finished barn and stables, and in fact every other necessary out-house. – On the said land, and on the road leading from Culpeper court-house to Orange court-house, I have a well planned Store-House with a good cellar underneath; three rooms on the first floor, viz store-room, counting-room and lodging-room, and a lumber room above the full size of the house. – Also, a good Granary, well finished above and below; and one other house not quite compleat. – These houses will suit either for a merchant or mechanic, and immediate possession will be given to the purchaser, or to tenants for one or more years. – For further information apply to REUBEN FRY – Madison March 2nd, 1796.
